Joyous Holidays!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The summer was a great one, but August brought deep sadness as a very dear friend passed away. Carol, who you have seen in many of my posts, lost her wonderful husband after 45 years of marriage! He was a terrific person and will be greatly missed! I have spent much time trying to be a help to Carol...as I know how difficult it is to lose a beloved companion!
I spent a great deal of time with these two over the years. They are like my family!
Marlo was a real cowboy...banker by day and a cowboy at heart!
I have stayed pretty close to home this fall, with a short weekend trip to see my brother in California. My sister, June and her husband Rodney drove down from Logan to meet me and we had a good visit with David and his new home staff.
I managed to turn 69 in September...certainly feeling my age!
Went to Utah in October and spent a week with Micah and Rebecca and family. Rebecca is in treatment again as her cancer has returned, but we are hopeful that she will be well once again!
Eden, their 11 year old wrote this little poem. I loved it so much, I decided to include it. One creative little girl!!
Got home in time to go to my yearly check-up for my back surgery. Ariel went with me and we celebrated her birthday at a cute little restaurant in downtown Seattle.
We always have a "spooky" dinner for Halloween and this year was no exception with a variety of strange items to eat!
It has been a wonderful and eventful year! The two great highlights were my trip to Italy to see the Rome temple and being with the family that I adore in Breckenridge, CO. I will be spending the holidays with my family in New York. Looking forward to spending time with the family and enjoying the offerings of the "Big Apple"!

How grateful I am to a kind and merciful Father in Heaven for the blessings of each day and for His Son, Jesus Christ, for the endless possibilities that lay ahead!
So here is hoping that you have a delightful and meaningful Christmas and a new year filled with joy and great blessings!
